A system prompt you can paste into your agent today

The short instruction set that keeps an agent from paying, inventing, and lying.

Paste this into your assistant's instructions and fill in the brackets. It is short on purpose.

Paste this whole block as the agent's instructions.

The rules are ordered the way the agent needs them: the goal first, then the hard limits, then the working method, then how to report.

Why the honesty rule is number three and not optional

Our first phone agent followed a rule that said never to admit it was an AI. It said “No, I'm not an AI” when asked. That is a false statement, and it did not even work: representatives hung up at least ten times after suspecting a bot, and one said outright that it would have to be a human being calling.

So the rule is disclosure. Say you are an AI assistant acting for the named patient, and offer to have them join the call or to continue in writing. That is both honest and, in practice, more effective.

This is general information, not legal advice, and rules about recording and impersonation vary by state. If you are unsure, you make the calls yourself with the agent coaching you.

Not legal, medical, tax, or financial advice. This is one patient's experience plus general information. Rules differ by state and by plan, and they change. Check your own documents and official sources, and decide for yourself whether to pay any bill.
